How to assemble your air bed
Before assembling your air mattress you first need to decide where you
want to put it. Then take it out of the box and position it on the
foundation. The zipper should be located at the head of the bed. Unzip
the mattress and remove the air control and its packaging, then place
the air control on the floor near the head of the bed. (You may leave
the quilted cover on.)
Next unroll the foam rails and place the long rails at the side of the
bed; then place the short rails at the head and foot of the bed. Take
the rubber stopper from the hose on both air chambers. The rubber
stoppers may be stored in the quilted air control cover under the bed.
If the air control system needs servicing, the rubber stoppers may be
used to hold air in the chambers. Next feed the hose from the right air
chamber through the hole at the bottom of the cover, then at the corner
under the air chamber, then at the head of the bed. The air chamber and
hose should face upward. Next connect the hose into the port on the
right side of the pump. When you have finished this process, repeat it
using the other hose for the opposite side of the bed. The next step is
to inflate the air chambers a little (just enough that they are flat and
not folded or creased). Note that twin and full size air beds come with
only one air chamber, not two.
Next put the foam divider vertically between both air chambers. This
creates a supportive barrier between the two air chambers. Some models
come with an additional high resiliency (HR), Visco or mid-body foam
pad. In that case you would place that particular item on the air
chambers. Then put the quilted mattress cover on the foundation and zip
completely closed.
Now you are ready to fill the chambers to the desired firmness. Fill the
right air chamber first, then the left. Keep in mind: The air bed
mattress cannot be over-inflated. |
