About Low Air Beds

Finding Low Air Beds

Most people find the high air beds to be more comfortable than the low air beds, however, the low air beds are more convenient to take on camping trips. Low air beds are easier to maneuver than the higher air beds. In addition, the low air beds do not take up as much room in your tent as will a high air bed.

The only disadvantage to using a low air bed is that it may be a little more difficult to get out of bed. This shouldn’t make any difference unless the person using the bed is elderly or has some physical problems making it difficult for the person to get up out of bed. For the most part, a low air bed will be quite comfortable to sleep on. These beds are certainly more comfortable that the previous air mattress type beds which were routinely used for camping purposes.

Even though the low air bed does not contain as much air as the higher beds, it will still take time to inflate. Therefore, you need to make sure that it comes equipped with a pump. It would also be best to obtain a pump that operates on batteries so that you could pump up the bed within your tent rather than have to maneuver it in and around the tent. It is much more convenient to be able to inflate and deflate the bed, roll it up and carry it through the door than to remove the bed from the tent, then carry out those tasks outside the tent.

Most of the low air beds can use sheets that are designed for regular beds of that particular size. The top of the air beds are usually textured so that the sheets will not slide off, but remain in place.
